Undulating Terrain, 2022
neon, silicon, Chinese silk, wood, hair extension, PVC tube, 35" 16" 3.5"
Drawing inspiration from calligraphy, Lee and Yasmine collaborate and create an installation that challenges the conventional use of neon signs. Transforming it into a medium akin to brushstrokes. The contoured, manipulated silicone skins depicted in the artwork like a landscape, offering a contrasting perspective to the glamorized portrayal of Asian massage ads one sees on the street.
