Collective breath, 2026
video, 2:11 min

The video captures glass being pulled from a molten cylinder into hollow tubes, accompanied by a soundscape of clock ticking, breathing, and footsteps that mark the narrow window of workable heat and the physical demands of this time-based performance. At the center, one person bends the glass threads, knotting and looping them like textile weaving. Inspired by Tai-chi’s meditative choreography, the person moves around the glowing material, instinctively responding to its shifting state while the team maintains deep trust and attentiveness. Occasional slips and drops highlight glass’s own resistance—here, the material emerges as both partner and performer.
